It’s poppin’ time for jalapenos
Summer is jalapeno season, and a couple of summers ago I started making poppers. I made some today, after collecting a couple of bags from our online guru at work. This recipe is awesome. It’s easy but time consuming. Don’t try and skimp, however. The extra steps breading really are worth it. It says an hour, but if you’re doing it by yourself it takes more like two hours. It’s good therapy, because you can’t do much else while you’re making these. If you have help and can get an assembly line going, it goes a little faster. But you still have to stop and let them dry between rolling in flour and crumbs. I also let them dry for 10 minutes before throwing them in the deep fryer.
